Easter Weekend Recap

Last weekend we celebrated Easter and the resurrection of Jesus! The weekend started early on Friday. Behn's friend David invited him to a Flyers game in Philly, so Behn took the day off and drove up north. Meanwhile, I watched Baby F until about noon and then Hannah and I packed up her car and headed to Maryland. It was kind of a long trip- rainy and slow, with a fussy Graham not enjoying his carseat. But we made it safely, just in time for a quick hello, wardrobe change, and then the Good Friday service at Grace and Peace OPC. The service was nice, but I spent most of it in the nursery trying to get fussy Graham to sleep; he was so off schedule. After the service we went home and had some family time. Graham got his first Easter basket, full of books and toys!

The next day was pretty laid-back. Mom and I ran some errands. Behn made it to MD by early afternoon. We had a delicious dinner and enjoyed being with family. It's hard not being nearby my parents, but it makes these times more precious.

Easter morning was sunny and warm. Graham had on a cute little outfit, which he sabotaged with a blow-out diaper soon after church started. Unfortunately I spent most of the time in the nursery again, cleaning him up and trying to get him to sleep. At church in VA, I just leave him in the nursery fed and tired and they always say he does great; I think that he was just really off schedule the whole weekend. It kind of stunk (literally!) to miss the service but oh well, c'est la vie.

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday lunch with Grandma and Grandpa joining us. I enjoyed seeing them love on Graham. And of course my parents and brothers doted on him all weekend. He is a loved little guy! Behn and Aaron really wanted to us to stay for the Flyers game on tv in the afternoon, which we did until it went to overtime. It was getting late and we needed to head home. We made it back safely and the good think is Graham had been so worn out the whole weekend he's been sleeping for 8+ hours nearly every night since then!

Christ was sacrificed for my sake. And now He is risen! Hallelujah!
