Community Festival Take 3 + Goodbye Ben

This is the 3rd year we've been here for the Lexington Community Festival. The first year, we had just moved in days before, last year I was pregnant and working full-time, and this year we have Graham and I'm a stay-at-home mama and babysitter! Also, at the festival the first year we didn't know anyone, last year we ran into a few people we knew, and this year we could scarcely go 3 minutes without saying hi to friends! It's really beginning to feel like "our town."

So, Hannah's boyfriend Ben has been here all summer. When they started dating in the winter, they decided that long distance relationships are tough. So, Ben found an apartment to sublet for the summer and a local job doing contracting and he moved here for the summer! Hannah has really enjoyed having him close by and their relationship has blossomed. But, now the summer is over and Ben has to go back home to school :( I know they're bummed, so we wanted to make sure we gave them a fun last weekend of us all being together and hanging out.

After the festival, we headed to out Goshen Pass to play in the river. Yes, during Hurricane Irene. I mean, she wasn't really here, she was waaaay east of here. But it was cloudy and windy all day. Still, we really wanted to go to Goshen.

This is Graham upon arrival, before we forced him into the river:

In the river with Aunt Hannah...not so sure about the cool water and loud wind:

Poor baby got upset pretty fast and enjoyed the rest of the time doing this:

What can I say? Based on our time at the ocean and now the river, I guess my kid's not a water baby. (Actually, I think he was just cold).

The grown-ups had fun in the water though:

Then we came home and did some of this:

All in all, a good day. Happy to have family and friends and live in this beautiful place.

And a bonus pic for you- mostly unclothed baby boy hanging out in his highchair:
